  • If you are standing on a yoga mat and have the time to practice
even fifteen minutes, you are a fortunate person. In the spirit of
this gratefulness, let your practice begin Donna Farhi

  • The experience of stillness is possible in this very breath. Yoga is both the means and the result, and the seed of all that is possible is present at the very beginning  Donna Farhi

  • Yoga is an art, a science and a philosophy. It touches the life of man at every level, physical, mental, and spiritual. It is a practical method for making one’s life purposeful, useful and noble BKS Iyengar

  • Because I am so rarely there, the most exotic place on Earth is where I am right now  Judith Hanson Lasater

Julie K Yoga Bio

Mama, teacher and exercise enthusiast, Julie has been practicing yoga for over ten years. A collegiate swimmer, dancer, professional lifeguard, and like most Canadians, an erstwhile winter sports aficionado, Julie graduated from Concordia University with a degree in Classical piano and Early Childhood Education.

Having spent several years travelling the world, sharing her passion for education and adventure,
Julie now calls London home.

After marrying and becoming pregnant with her first child Julie felt compelled to deepen her knowledge of yoga by embarking on a journey of learning through the 200hr Yogacampus/Yoga Alliance certified teacher training course.

This journey towards deeper knowledge has expanded Julie’s understanding of not only the physical but also the meditative and spiritual practices of yoga. Influenced by several traditions, Julie offers yoga as a means of re-connecting with oneself through creative sequencing, using the breath to turn our awareness inwards.

Julie has First Aid training with St-John’s ambulance and is pursuing certification in Yoga Nidra as well as in pregnancy and post-natal yoga.  Julie has attended intensive training with Judith Hansen Lasater in Restorative Yoga, as well as studied Tantra, meditation and visualisation with Sally Kempton during her many workshops in London.

With a particular interest in meditation, Julie has established a daily practice which may consist of mantra, visualisation, pranayama and mala counting. Julie’s yoga path is a continuous journey, and she looks forward to meeting you along the way.
